Asked to create an abstract, architectural model in only white material to explore the ideas of; apertures, enclosures, perceptions of size, and shades of grey through light.
This final design was crafted to explore the concept of negative and positives of repetitive patterns and how –when positioned in natural light, create intricate, gradated patterns on themselves and the surrounding space.
As the light moved across the materials they casted shadows on each other- so delicately they seem meshed together, often creating the illusion of being one pattern rather than both a physical pattern and a shadowed pattern.
